Course Recognition

 Is your course recognised?

To be valid and genuine, all courses offered by private colleges and institutes must be externally accredited by independent and validated educational bodies. The main Awarding Bodies in the Republic Of Ireland are HETAC, Higher Education Training Awards Council & FETAC, Further Education Training & Awards Council. Qualifications from the UK are recognised in Ireland, and bodies such as LCM, London Centre of Marketing and ICM, Institute of Commercial Management offer genuine awards recognised under the National Framework of Qualifications.

Are CMI courses recognised under the framework of Qualifications?

Yes CMI offer genuine awards from validating bodies such as HETAC, FETAC, LCM and ICM which are recognised under the National Framework of Qualifications. Quality agreements are in place with these bodies  which guarantees that your Award is recognised.

How do I check?

To check whether the course is a genuine award originating from Ireland log on to www.nfq.ie. Genuine Awards from the UK must be listed on  http://www.accreditedqualifications.org.uk/ otherwise they are bogus.

What level is the course I’m doing?
Each course offered is at a certain level on the framework. Always add 2 to UK levels to get the comparison level in the Republic of Ireland. For example if you complete a Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from ICM, that is equivalent to a UK level 6 or Republic of Ireland Level 8 Award.
If you wish to get a confirmation as to whether an award is genuine in Ireland, then contact the the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland office in Dublin.
