Script Writing Course Overview:

The Certificate in Scriptwriting course allows students to realise and reach their full creative potential in script-writing. For any budding script-writers out there, this course is the key step needed to provide you with the confidence, experience and ability needed to become the next ‘big thing’ in script writing. The course allows students to produce a portfolio of the work which is must for anyone seriously wishing to pursue a career in the area. 

Learn to summarise the main story line, prepare the layout of a script, adapt shooting parts of script, prepare a storyboard, and acquire range of writing skills appropriate to this form of communication.

Scriptwriting Course Objectives

• Enables students to build their confidence in their ideas and written ability.
• Covers all the key areas needed to become a successful script-writer; from developing characters, laying out a story-board, creating appropriate atmosphere to learning how to present finished work professionally.
• Allows students to develop their ideas from draft to storyboard
• Aids students in producing a wide range of scripts demonstrating their versatility
• Students will develop their powers of observation and their powers of visualisation while writing.

Progression: A wide range of career options are open for scriptwriters to work on TV, Radio or on stage for play and theatre productions, careers in as floor managers or as a director.

Course Cost & Duration:  The duration of the course is 10 weeks and is held in Dublin city centre once a week. The cost is 950 Euro including assessment fees.
