Start Your Own Business Course Overview

The Start Your own Business course is course is designed to assist ambitious entrepreneurs in developing the appropriate knowledge and skills to start and run a successful business. You will learn about the business environment and legal requirements imposed on starting a small and medium sized business.

The Start Your Own Business course will examine ways to identify new business opportunities and to investigate and evaluate new business ideas. You will develop appropriate strategies for market research, marketing, finance and managing personnel. Carrying out a feasibility study on the business idea and determining sources of finance are crucial You will learn to evaluate all stages of the process.

For any budding entrepreneurs this course is a key step in reaching the next stage and setting up a successful business that will stand the test of time. The Start Your own Business, FETAC level 5 course provides you with the management tools and expertise in making the right choices, planning and organising effectively.

Start Your Own Business Course Aims :
Upon successful completion you will be able to:

• Develop knowledge and skills for starting a business
• Understand the processes and external and internal factors that affect a business
• Prepare a business, finance and marketing plan for the business venture.
• Apply knowledge of health and safety and risk management.

Award: Start Your Own Business – level 5 FETAC Award

Progression: Students can take the Finance Certificate course – FETAC level 6 or the Marketing, PR, Advertising & Sales diploma or Diploma in Business Management & Marketing as a means to develop their business skills.

Start Your Own Business Course Cost & Duration:

The duration of the course is 10 weeks and is held in Dublin city centre once a week. The cost is 950 Euro including assessment fees.
