CMI's education division provides professional evening Diploma courses in a range of core academic areas such as Management, Journalism, Event Management, Human Resources, Advertising, Sales Management, Marketing and Public Relations. CMI is expanding it’s panel of part-time lecturers for 2008 and as a result a number of new lecturing vacancies have arisen within the institute.

26 May 2008 – Part Time Evening Lecturers required

Lecturers for 2008 are required in the following subject areass:

• HR Management
• Project Management
• Financial Management
• Event Management
• Public Relations
• Journalism
• Marketing Management
• Sales Practice
• Sales Management

The candidate who applies for part-time lecturing positions in one of the above areas must hold a relevant third level qualification ideally supplemented by a Masters Degree. Candidates who have teaching experience in a third level institution must demonstrate their willingness to manage, develop and upgrade specific course programmes as well as prepare course materials.

Suitable candidates must also demonstrate that they have the necessary academic background and analytical skills to apply their knowledge to the current work environment. All applicants should have work experience in their teaching subject so that they can draw from examples based on their own experience.

A candidate with a minimum of three years practical work experience in their teaching subject who holds membership of a professional association together with any evidence of published work will be at a distinct advantage. The candidate will have a minimum of five years experience working in Management, HR, Coaching, Mentoring, Communications or the Sales profession.

The suitable candidate will have a good knowledge of the training sector and ideally should be educated to degree or Masters Degree level. Interested persons will show they have the necessary analytical and practical skills to design and deliver training programmes to a high quality and standard.
