About the Course

The Certificate in Advertising provides a thorough  
understanding of the principles and practice of  
Advertising and is designed for individuals
interested in entering the Advertising profession
or an industry such as graphic design, print
publication or sales.
 
Course Aims & Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide you with the
skills and knowledge to apply what you learn to
your workplace. Advertising involves using
creativity and skill to present your client’s
message effectively to a target audience.
 
Students will acquire an in depth knowledge of how advertising agencies operate and
will have the opportunity to plan their own creative and exciting advertising campaign.
The Advertising campaign will form a part of the assessment for the Advertising
course. Students can pursue a professional Diploma in Marketing, PR, Sales and
Advertising should they decide to sit an ICM examination in Advertising.

Methodology
The principal method of learning is through lectures, course notes, recommended reading, assignments and an exam. Students are expected to read recommended texts as a supplement to these learning methods.

Cost and duration
The Certificate in Advertising is one evening per week over ten weeks. The cost is 750 Euro and exam fees are 200 euro Extra. Evening class and Saturday class option.
