About the Course
The Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies is designed for those who wish to learn the core principles of Irish Law, perhaps with a view to pursuing a career in the legal field.

| The Advanced Diploma programme will provide you with an introduction to the key aspects of Irish law and the legal system. It will provide you an understanding of |
| Constitutional Law Principles, Irish Legal System, Contract, Tort, Criminal and Business |
| Law issues Land Law, International Law, Company Law. |

| Many graduates of this programme with no prior legal experience will initially become |
| legal executives before acquiring more senior legal positions. |
| Legal executive duties involves preparing and processing legal documents and |
| correspondence. Other duties include proof reading documents such as leases, |
| contracts, wills and property conveyances. |
| Sometimes you may be required to attend court with a solicitor. Graduate who already |
| work in the legal field will enjoy increased career advancement and legal specialisation. |
If you wish to work in conveyance and property law, international law or Business Law then it is advisable that you successfully complete the following modules which includes Property/Land Law, Public International Law and Company Law. Graduates of the Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies enjoy real career progression and advancement because they have a better understanding of how the courts apply the law in more particular situations. The Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies qualification will aid as a preparation for the Law Society Final Examination Part 1 (FE1).

Cost & Duration
The Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies is a 30 week evening course which is held one evening per week. The cost of the course is 2,100 euro plus exam fees of 450euro. The programme involves completing 9 law modules in total over 30 weeks. Total cost is 2,550euro and is payable in advance of course commencement. Please note places are limited and enrolment forms must be submitted by the deadline date.
