The aim of the course is to help you appreciate project management & its key competencies, understand the importance of the planning process, acquire techniques for estimating durations and project schedules, allocation of resources, cost management & control, risk and response strategies.
Most importantly, the programme will equip you with the skills needed to set up a Project Management Office and for managing Local, National and International Projects. As projects become more obscure, greater competencies are required to manage their complexity. This Diploma course will introduce you to a wide range of project management tools and techniques to help you deal with increasingly complex projects.

Project Mgr role, Multiple roles, Project types, Balancing project objectives, Project organisation & communications, PM categories.
- Planning & Scheduling
Planning & Scheduling, Charts, Network Analysis, Logic diagrams & Critical path, Resource scheduling, Labour resources.
- Purchasing & Materials Management
Scheduling parts for manufacturing projects, Stock purchasing, Store admin, Collating material requirements, Purchasing & materials control, Post order activities, Purchasing – procedures for capital projects, Purchase specification, Bid Evaluation.
- The Financial & Commercial Framework
Defining the project costs, project design, cost estimates, financial appraisal, cost coding systems, process and profit, manufacturing & labour costs, below the line costs, commercial management, project funding, contract payment, insurance.
Course Duration
The duration of the course is 1 academic year and is held in Dublin city center. The course costs 1,750euro and exam fees are 350 euro extra. Evening class plus Saturday class option.
