About the Course

To build a successful career in project management, it is essential that individuals achieve a recognised project management advanced diploma qualification. The current economic downturn will mean that only the most qualified project industry professionals will satisfy the demands of employers.

This programme is designed for newcomers to project management who wish to gain a complete view of Project Management. Suited to aspiring project managers, business executives and team leaders, the Project Management Advanced Diploma is the only known course of its kind that has double recognition. Unlike standard PM courses from other colleges, this course is the most comprehensive, offering 6 different modules covering very important areas of Project Management.


The course will introduce you to a wide range of project management tools and techniques to help you deal with a range of simple to complex projects and ensures that you have a well rounded view of Project Management. Individual modules include: Planning & Scheduling, Nature of PM, Computers & PM, Financial & Commercial Framework, Managing works and costs, Purchasing & Materials Mgmt.
 

The new Computers & PM section now includes training on basics of MS Office Project. Microsoft Project (or MSP) is a project management software program designed to assist project managers in developing plans, assigning resources to tasks, apply critical path schedules, track progress, managing budgets and analysing workloads. This is the practical applied part of the course that offers added value to students.The Computer section is greatly beneficial to those ready to implement what they learn in the workplace.
 

CMI is a Registered Education Provider (REP) of the Project Management Institute (USA) and the Advanced Diploma in Project Management has been approved by the PMI for up to 72 Professional development Units (PDU’s). PDU credits are essential for students of this course who will become members of the PMI and want to maintain their membership. The Project Management Advanced Diploma is internationally recognised and awarded by the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) in the UK. This is a genuine award which receives 72 PDU’s from the PMI® – Project Management Institute.
 

Course Aims & Objectives

The aim of the Project Management Advanced Diploma course is to help you appreciate project management & its key competencies, understand the importance of the planning process, acquire techniques for estimating durations and project schedules, allocation of resources, cost management & control, risk and response strategies.

All course fees are payable in advance unless you are unemployed or work part-time in which case a two payment installment plan is offered. Course Eligibility

Individuals with no prior project management experience can apply. This course is open to people from any educational background and with various levels of work experience. If you are anxious about your eligibility, please contact CMI and a representative will be more than happy to assist you in making the right choice.

Course Cost & Duration

The duration of the course is 20 weeks and is held in Dublin city centre . The course costs 1,750euro and exam fees are 350 euro extra. Total cost is 2,100euro. There is a Wednesday evening and Saturday morning class option.
