About the Course
The Human Resource Development Advanced Diploma is a comprehensive post grad level 8 course designed for aspiring HR Managers, business executives, recruitment consultants and people interested in learning about the fascinating world of HR. |
The HR Development Advanced Diploma is an impressive post graduate one year course designed for those with an interest in human resource development, training and personnel management. The diversity of skills and knowledge gained form this course will benefit you both personally and professionally in the years to come.
Many former graduates are now Human Resource Managers, HR Business Partners or HR consultants for some of the leading national and international organisations in Ireland and abroad. The program is open to people with no experience in HR and is designed to provide you with the vital HR knowledge and skills so necessary to help organisations survive.
The course will open a whole new world of HR related topics to you. Learn to manage performance, deal with discipline and dismissal issues, develop competencies that enhance individual and organisational performance, understand contract and business law and health and safety requirements. Areas such as good organisational communication, recruitment and selection, staff training are also covered. A new Module entitled HR Business Communications includes learning the skill of interviewing and 360 degree feedback.
The programme allows you to cover the current industrial/ employee relations landscape which is set to dominate the HR agenda in the coming years. On successful completion of the Advanced Diploma course, you will understand the benefits of effective human resource strategies and planning and can implement new approaches to increase individual and organisational performance.
A recent survey indicated that 80% of graduates of this programme now work or are working in a HR related area.

Course Cost & Duration
The Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Development is a 30 week programme and takes place one evening per week in Dublin city centre. The course costs 1,950 euro and exam fees are 550 euro extra. Total cost is 2,400 euro.

Progression
Successful graduates will hold the title Adv.Dip.HRD. after their name. Students can progress on to complete a Degree in Business or HR Management or Masters Degree in HR. Career options are wide and varied include: HR Manager, HR Business Partner, HR Executive & Assistant, Trainer & Coach.
Eligibility
This course is open to people from any educational background and with various levels of work experience. Due to the broad nature of the programme the course is not limited to an applicant from one industry background.
