    The Diploma in Management is an internationally recognised higher level 6 UK qualification (which is broadly equivalent to level 8 in Ireland). It holds 60 credits and and allows further progression to the Extended Diploma in Management level 6 120 credit course. 

    The aim of this Higher Level Management diploma qualification is to provide you with the key forward planning and strategic skills that are necessary to be a competent manager. 

    Management is essentially people management, and to deal with HR issues the latest Human Resource thinking is critically examined.

    Management is essentially project planning, and you will learn how projects can be planned and monitored to achieve overall business objectives. 

    Management is leadership. You will learn the qualities required to be an effective leader of an organisation, which helps motivate staff and drive the organisation to meet its targets and objectives.

    The qualification is awarded by ATHE - Awards for Training and Higher Education (UK) and is internationally recognised and regulated by Ofqual.

    A recent survey indicated 84% of students have received promotions, acquired new job positions and salary increases within one year of completion of CMI Management qualifications.

    A unique feature is NO written exams but practical applied learning in the form of assignments, case studies, and research projects.
    Award: Diploma in Management
    Level: 6 England (broadly equivalent to level 8 in Ireland)
    Credits: 60
    Successful students can progress to do the Extended Diploma in Management 120 credit course with CMI which leads to a Masters degree qualification. Alternatively students can progress to do a level 7 Ordinary or level 8 Degree in a similar related area and gain 60 credit exemptions from their first year.

    Classroom course is € 2750.00 .

    Includes all tuition, registration, assessment and online notes.

    Applicants are required to pay a minimum deposit of €300 to secure a place on the programme. The balance of fees are due on or before programme commencement.

Shane Downer
Shane has over 20 years’ experience within project management and strategic management in both the public and private sector. Shane brings a wealth of experience having held various senior management & consulting positions and has successfully managed a range of large scale projects throughout his career.

Shane holds an MBA from Trinity College Dublin. He currently lectures with CMI on Leadership & Management & Personal Leadership & Management.
Richard lectures on Strategic Marketing with CMI. Richard specializes in digital marketing and currently holds a position as head of strategic planning with one of Irelands leading digital marketing agencies. He also has over 6 years’ experience in brand management. Richard holds an MSC in International Business from UCD.
Shane Downer
John has over 10 years’ experience within financial management and holds an MSC in Management Consulting from Smurfit Business School. He currently lectures with CMI on Business Management & Strategic Planning.
