Course Aims & Objectives
This course is especially suited to newcomers to the world of television, radio and
newspapers who wish to gain a thorough understanding of the many principles that
govern these different forms of media. In particular techniques will be explored as to
how to handle a radio or television interview.
 
Participants learn how to structure a news release and compile a public relations
programme, which is an essential part of modern public relations practice. A clear
focus on writing, composition, sentence structures and identifying attention grabbing
headlines or copy is explored. Compiling and developing a public relations programme
along with an appreciation of the role of writing styles and skills forms a major part of
the programme. Participants learn how to compile and implement a media relations
strategy, learning what journalists to contact and when.

The Marketing section of the programme is about identifying potential customers, researching their needs, developing products to suit customer requirements, putting together marketing programmes and promotional activities, branding products and services, identifying new media channels to communicate to a wider audience. The Marketing section of the programme will cover all the promotional methods available to you including Sales Promotion, Advertising, Sponsorship, Direct Marketing and Personal Selling.

Methodology
The principal method of learning is through practical exercises and role play. At the end of the course participants will have the confidence and ability to reach a wider audience and more consumers.

Cost and duration
The duration of the Public Relations, Media & Marketing Skills course is one and two days. The cost of the course is 690Euro for one day and 1280Euro for two days based on individual tuition. Group Discounts apply and it cost 880Euro per person for a group of five or more.
