CMI is a leading authority in Facilities management diploma courses. The School of Facilities Management is a specialist school within the institute which focuses on the development and advancement of Facilities management professionals within the FM sector in Ireland and abroad.  

Students with little experience, can start with the level 4 Certificate in Facilities Management or the level 4 Diploma in Facilities Management , before progressing to do the level 5 and level 6 Diploma. 

CMI partnered with BIFM - British Institute of Facilities Management (England) to offer higher level part time Facilities Management qualifications. If you are interested in by-passing the degree option through part-time study in order to progress to Masters level, then the suite of Facilities management qualifications offered by CMI are ideal.

The BIFM Facilities management course qualifications are developed and regulated by Ofqual in England and are internationally recognised on the framework of qualifications at various levels with comparable levels in Ireland.

Facilities management professionals are responsible for services that enable and support business. Roles cover management of a wide range of areas including: health and safety, risk management, business continuity, procurement, sustainability, space planning, energy, property and asset management. They are typically responsible for activities such as catering, cleaning, building maintenance, environmental services, security and reception.
