This Event Management course is the only event course in Ireland that will provide you with the numerous skills you need to manage events successfully.
To qualify as a event manager, you need to acquire the the knowledge, skill and competence to plan, organise, and supervise events. Events that are explored in this course include exhibitions (face to face and virtual) , artistic performance, cultural and business events, fundraising and political events, conference and festival events.
Learn to put together your own event project/plan which will allow you to manage the concept and idea right through to the proposal and implementation of the event.
This Event Management qualification is nationally accredited by QQI Quality Qualifications Ireland and leads to an Event Management Level 6 Minor Award 6N4800.

A passionate EHS professional who is particularly adept in the development and deployment of strategic and tactical approaches in promoting excellence in EHS programs across complex & diverse workforces. Francis has solid EHS experience gained across Food Industry, Bulk (Wet and Dry ) Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Aviation Maintenance and Repair, and Medical Device Manufacturing. He has a passion for passing on his knowledge and teaches unit 3 & 4 with CMI.
Patrick has worked in health and safety for over 30 years. Previously he has worked with the Department of Justice, NISO, UCD and the LMETB. He has experience in both the private and public sectors up to and including Management level. He is presently a Tutor on the RSA CPC programme. He is the holder of a number of National Awards and is a chartered member of IOSH.
Emmet Wrafter is a HR Professional with over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources working in the Manufacturing, Commercial, Wholesale, Customer Service and Retail industries at AbbVie, Abbott and Fannin Healthcare. During Emmet’s career he has been responsible for HR provision at Senior Management level, playing a pivotal role working with leaders to drive employee engagement, talent management, leadership development and organisational change in times of both growth and restructure. Emmet teaches at CMI on units from the CIPD Assoc. Dip in People Management and also teaches in other colleges and universities such as the Technological University of Shannon (TUS). He is a Chartered member of CIPD.
Jo Duncum is an experienced safety advisor primarily advising in the aircraft, electronics, engineering and food industries and the setting up of safety management systems in these areas. She is passionate about the provision of a safe working environment for all and teaching, training and mentoring to help get the message out there and ensuring that its an enjoyable journey for all along the way. She holds a level 8 Diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work. Jo teaches on unit 1 and unit 2 of the Certificate/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety with CMI.
Jennifer Lee has worked in the field of Occupational Health and Safety for 12+ years, in a range of industries – from IT, to construction and to manufacturing. She is passionate about developing positive safety cultures in a workplace environment and incorporating wellbeing and wellness into the Health and Safety field.
Jennifer has completed numerous short courses and holds a Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety. She currently teaches unit 3 & 4 on the OTHM Diploma in Health & Safety with CMI.
Lar Malone is an experienced professional and commercially orientated financial leader who is CIMA qualified, and BComm. graduate. He has worked at Board level for both private companies and not for profit as Director and Chair of Finance and Audit Committees. He has worked for large scale technology and HR\labour solutions organisations and is currently with Manor Farm foods as Commercial Controller. Lar teaches Financial Management part time on the IWFM Facilities Management Diploma with CMI.
