    The aim of the Management diploma course is to provide you with the key forward planning and strategic skills that are necessary to be a competent manager. 

    The Diploma in Management course is an internationally recognised higher level 6 England qualification (which is broadly equivalent to level 8 in Ireland). It holds 60 credits and and allows further progression to the Extended Diploma in Management level 6 120 credit course. The qualification is awarded by ATHE - Awards for Training and Higher Education (UK) and is internationally recognised and regulated by Ofqual.

    This Management course involves dealing with people management, HR issues and the latest Human Resource thinking to fast track your organisation.

    Business acumen is essential and on this management course you will learn about business and economics, supply and demand and core principles.

    Driving an organisation forward, involves real leadership. On this Management diploma course you will learn the qualities required to be an effective leader, looking at strategic ways to motivate staff and achieve organisational objectives.

    A recent survey indicated 84% of students have received promotions, acquired new job positions and salary increases within one year of completion of CMI Management qualifications.

    Successful students can progress to do the Extended Diploma in Management 120 credit course with CMI which leads to a Masters degree qualification. Alternatively students can progress to do a level 7 Ordinary or level 8 Degree in a similar related area and gain 60 credit exemptions from their first year.

    Applicants are required to pay a minimum deposit of €300 to secure a place on the programme. The balance of fees are due on or before programme commencement.

Shane has over 20 years’ experience within project management and strategic management in both the public and private sector. Shane brings a wealth of experience having held various senior management & consulting positions and has successfully managed a range of large scale projects throughout his career.

Shane holds an MBA from Trinity College Dublin. He currently lectures with CMI on Leadership & Management & Personal Leadership & Management.

Stephen works as Head of Strategy for the Irish arm of a multi-national bank. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant having trained with KPMG and specialised in Financial Services Clients across multiple industries including Insurance, Banking, Funds and Technology. He has held management roles across multiple teams including Corporate Relationship Management, Operational Management, Corporate Restructuring, Change Management and Retail Management. He holds a B.Com from NUI Galway, is a qualified chartered accountant, registered auditor and a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and has a Licentiate of The Institute of Banking (LIB). Stephen lectures on the Management Diploma with CMI. 

Cormac Whelan
Cormac is the HR Manager for Brite Bill which has 180 employees and provides HR expertise in legal and regulatory compliance. He previously worked as HR Business Partner with Intel Ireland. He has an MSc in HR Strategies, a Diploma in Organisational Behaviour and BSc in HR Management. He is a Chartered member of CIPD . He teaches on General HRM for CMI.
