5 star reviews   'Brilliant foundation course and Im delighted I started with the Certificate first before progressing to the Diploma. The lecturer couldn't be more helpful'    Jason O'Reilly - Read More Reviews

The Occupational Health and Safety Certificate course is an excellent foundation course for those starting a career in this very rewarding profession. The course is an entry level and is highly recommended for those with little or no health and safety experience.

The Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety is awarded by the British Safety Council which is a globally recognised awarding body. BSC awards are government-regulated by Ofqual and are therefore recognised on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) to level 3 (UK) which is similar to level 5 in the Republic of Ireland.

Applicants must have a minimum of IOELTS 5.0 or higher OR Cambridge level exams or Advanced English level written English. Supporting certified proof of English level competency is required to be submitted with booking.

A Unique approach, that gets you the result

CMI's unique incremental approach to learning, allows you to apply what you learn each week over a 20 week time frame.  Your journey to become a professional Health & Safety officer starts and ends with this 6 month course.

Feedback indicates that the 7 -12 day intensive boot camp approach offered by other providers results in higher failure rates, additional repeat costs, poor retention of Health & Safety tools and knowledge and, lack of integrated learning.

This is why our course structure deliberately avoids this approach and our students results speaks for itself.

92% of Students pass on first attempt (2017 results)

If you don’t have any prior health and safety experience or have never done a health and safety course before, it would be recommended you start with the Certificate. This entry level qualification provides a sound basis for progression to the Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
