Healthcare Management Courses

CMI is a leading authority in healthcare management diploma courses and education. The School of Healthcare Management is a specialist school within the institute which focuses on the development and advancement of healthcare professionals within the healthcare sector.  

Students with little experience, start with the entry level Healthcare Management Certificate course, before progressing to do the Healthcare management diploma course. The diploma is a 120 credit level 8 course and allows progressions to a Masters. If you dont want to progress to Masters level, the next step after the level 8 Diploma is the level 9 Diploma in Healthcare Management. Many students also choose a more general Management qualification such as the Management Diploma 60 credit course.

CMI partnered with ATHE - Awards for Training & Higher Education (England) to offer higher level part time Healthcare Management qualifications. If you are interested in by-passing the degree option through part-time study in order to progress to Masters level, then the suite of Healthcare management qualifications offered by CMI are ideal.

The ATHE healthcare management course qualifications have been developed with the support of the sector skills council, the Council for Administration and has the support of Skills for Health (UK). The suite of qualifications offered by CMI are regulated by Ofqual in England and are internationally recognised on the framework of qualifications.

Participants on the healthcare management courses tend to work in the private and public sector. Management within the health service covers a wide range of career areas, including HR, finance, administration, service management, health promotion and project management. Health service managers are effective leaders and team workers. Manager duties include supervising staff, setting and maintaining budgets, and implementing policies.
