The Committee’s New Report on Forensic Science was published at 00.01 on Thursday 25th July 2013.
The Report offers direct quotes from The Society’s written evidence in support of the need for the forensic community to have a meaningful register (or Roll) of expert forensic practitioners and witnesses.
In addition the Report refers to The Society’s attempts to obtain the former Forensic Science Service’s database of scientific literature and papers. Dr. Priston, president of the forensic science society, stated that they have now resolved this position and will be able to provide access to the database information in the very near future.
