
Mr John O'Toole, Managing Director
Founder and Managing director of CMI since 2004, previously worked in third level institutions and international training organisations. Is educated to Honours Degree in Philosophy from NUI and a Masters Degree in Public Relations with TU Dublin. Has completed numerous further and higher programmes in Education Management and Training, E-learning and Moodle and UDL. Is a member of Aontas and actively participates in the National forum for Teaching and Learning events.
Mr Thomas Mallon, Academic Director
Focused on quality assurance and enhancement having previously held positions with Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, Griffith College Dublin, City & Guilds (quality and excellence manager) , and National college of Ireland (school manager). Thomas is currently Academic Director with CMI since November 2019, with responsibility for Academic Management and Quality Assurance Enhancement, project lead for new programme validations, governance and academic risk management. He manages and monitors CIPD, IWFM and QQI programmes.


Ms Sandra Duff, Registrations & Accounts Executive
Has worked as Accounts executive with CMI since 2006. Sandra is responsible for managing accounts, new learner registrations and exam bookings.
Mr Graham Moore, Admissions Officer
Holds a Hons Degree in Business Management, and is primarily responsible for new learner admissions and learner support.

Mr Shane Downer, External QA adviser
Shane Downer is a vastly experienced change specialist and educator. Passionate about learning, he has designed and lead training projects across Europe, in the finance, health and education sectors. Working with a leading Public Education body he was instrumental in the design and development of initiatives such as SkillVEC and SUSI, Ireland’s National Student Grants Authority. As an educator, he provides external quality assurance support to a number of education providers. Shane holds an MBA from Trinity College Dublin. He provides consultancy service and external advice to CMI.
