London Fashion Week is once again on the horizon. Between 16 and 20 of September London will be immersed in the vivacious festival which celebrates all things fashion. The festival brings together British arenas of creativity, commerce and trade. This year’s festival is sponsored by Sunglass Hut and is an excellent way for them to emphasise and share their brand with a wider audience.
Fashion and Trade shows will be held in various London locations and will include international designers such as Versace and Burberry as well as High-street brands such as Topshop and M&S. While the front row is usually reserved for celebrities, people will battle to take a precious seat at some of the most exclusive fashion shows during the four day festival.
But what does London Fashion Week mean for Ireland? Who is representing and Who is lucky enough to enjoy the festival?
As it happens Ireland has quite a few designers participating in the festival. Paul Costello will exhibit on Friday 18th September and is said to be enthusiastic and excited. He describes London as a fresh place that is constantly in search of new ideas. Designer Orla Kiely will also feature her collection which is often associated with prints. She has also recently extended her line in to the spheres of home ware and stationary.
Unfold is a highly anticipated event which will take place on Friday 18th September. It will feature 11 Irish established designers and brands including Chupi which is a stunning jewellery collection born in Ireland.
As always the Irish media will flock to London to report on every show and all the backstage gossip and news.
