Denise Slevin – First student in Ireland to become a Procurement & Supply Professional Diploma Graduate
A student at CMI for 3 years, Denise Slevin was awarded a specially engraved trophy at CMI today. Having just returned home from a holiday at a Black Sea resort, Denise was delighted and happy to have got to this stage in her professional education. Joined by her partner, and celebrating her successful completion of the Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Professional Diploma in Procurement & Supply, Denise has successfully completed the full suite of CIPS programmes.
According to Denise, ‘I stayed focused and determined right the way through, and really enjoyed every aspect of the course. Each level overlapped with previous modules and gave me ever increasing knowledge and understanding of the procurement and supply function. I still have the CIPS books within easy reach of my office desk, as they consistently provide me with a solid reference point’.
At the special ceremony, John O’Toole CEO of CMI said, ‘ Denise has showed that anything is truly possible, she has showed determination, commitment, and consistency throughout the three years I have known her and it is evident in this special award being conferred on her today, I wish her every success for the future’. This is the first time a student has completed all three levels and reached the highest level of the CIPS suite of Procurement and Supply qualifications in Ireland. The road is not over for Denise as the next chapter in her education continues with a Masters Degree in Strategic Procurement which she will start in a few weeks.
